Chapter 02

Demystifying NEET counselling

NEET counselling runs in two main categories:

  • — All India Counselling (15% Quota): managed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC)
  • — State Counselling (85% Quota): conducted by respective state authorities

Rounds: Round 1 (first phase), Round 2 (upgrade or first-time allotment), Mop-Up Round (mainly Deemed & Central Universities), and Stray Vacancy Round (final round, no fresh registration).
